I have to admit I have been a BareMinerals user for about 10 years, HOWEVER, I have bought every other brand known to man! As we all know BareMinerals is expensive, so I have always been on the look out for new brands for a cheaper price with comparable coverage.
I also love Avon products...mainly just the lipsticks, mascara and eye shadows---Non Mineral forms!!!!
I was excited to try the new Avon mineral makeup. It was horrible!!

The foundation has NO coverage at all. It is like wearing translucent powder and that is it. I have always had near perfect skin my whole life, so you would think this would work for me. I even tried applying several coats. For 10 bucks...it's still NOT worth trying if you haven't already. Trust Me!

Now for the eyeshadows:::Horrible, too! They do not glide on. In fact you can hardly get the color on at all. You have to apply and apply and apply then give up! I do not know what they are using for slip, but they need to change it!

The Blush is okay! I wish it had a little more glimmer to it for a more youthful look(hey, I'm 33)!

Avon Mineral Make up is great

I had to test it to find the perfect color for me and found Nude is great. I also love the concealer Avon has. The makeup looks great...AND I don't feel like I have anything on my face, which is another big PLUS.

Avon Needs Samples

I've tried a few different mineral foundations and since Avon is one of the cheaper products, I tried it. First as many have said, it's really hard to find the right color, the ones in the book aren't close and don't use a moisturizer first. That's when the product will settle in your pores and lines. Since I still haven't found the right color, I had an Avon minerals blush that I tried, which is a nice light color and put that over the minerals foundation and then my face looks halfway decent..still not the right color, however. Avon needs to have small samples of their mineral makeup available so customers can get the right color. The product for the price isn't that bad. I guess if you want to use mineral makeup, you have to spend more money. Best I found, Philosophy, amazing coverage and lasts a long time. It has a great applicator!
