I am 42 and spent the first 15 years of my make-up using life plastering on liquid foundations.
I have really sensitive skin and get bad rashes from the wrong brands of make up (and deodorant, bath bubbles, soap, moisturizer - you name it!). But professional demands mean I HAVE to use make up of some sort. So I'd put it on as late as possible and take it off as soon as I could.
Then I'd use medicated creams to try to ease the rashes and do the same thing all over again the next day.
Every day, my face was irritated and I used to long for my work vacations just so I didn't have to use make-up any more for a few days.
Then, when I was on holiday in Georgia, I found this mineral veil and tried it out. YES I used make up on holiday! For the first time EVER!
I love this product. I can make up whenever I like and leave it on for as long as I like and not even bother taking it off at night if I don't feel like it - I NEVER get a rash and I NEVER get irritations.
It covers my very 'red' complexion perfectly and looks and feels so clear and natural that I often have to look hard in a mirror to see whether I remembered to put it on today!
I haven't tried any other brands because this one works so well for me - but I have been reading on this site and might just explore some other brands soon. Thanks for all the great information.
