it is alright it isn't anything special. The problem I have had with it is that the other ingredients in it are too drying! I end up with flakes on my skin. I don't particularly like the matte look. It isn't worth the price.

dry skin?
by: Yvonne

I have combination skin and I use the oil free "TimeWise" moisturizer from Mary Kay. I love it! It moisturizes without making my skin oily. It works great under my minerals.

I also use a touch of the Bare Escentuals Prime Time-- great product. I'm 42 and the primer gives me that little something extra that makes my minerals go on super smooth!

I also have the Skin Rever Upper, and the other commenter is right, it's an exfoliator. I have sensitive skin and sometimes get flakes as a sign of skin irritation, sometimes because of dryness. My skin is hard to figure sometimes.

I got the Rever Upper without knowing about the exfoliating properties (should've read the label, I know.) It's a good product, just not for me. If you have sensitivity to exfoliating lotions, be careful. Good luck!

Try Skin Revver-Upper under foundation
by: Anonymous

I live in Phoenix where the weather is always dry, and I wear (and really like) Bare Minerals.

You may find that the flakes will disappear if you will also use their Skin Revver-Upper lotion before you apply the foundation. It is not a moisturizer, but an exfoliator, and it will eliminate the flakes for you.

You can also find Bare Minerals at deep discounts on Ebay, which makes it much more affordable!

Drying of Skin
by: Lynnette

I wanted to tell you that your problem may not be the makeup. It sounds as if you are dehydrated or are using other cleansing products with alcohol. Try using Jasons face soap and drinking enough water.
To determine how much water you need take your body weight, divide by 2 and convert to ounces.
IE: 140 lbs / 2 = 70 oz.
If you drink coffee add that much water because coffee is a dehydrator.
