Looking for Bare Minerals Eyeliner Application Tips? Otherwise known as "I have a pot of powder that is supposed to be used as an eyeliner and I have no clue what to do with it..." Sound familiar? Help is here!!
There are four ways (that I know of) to use minerals as eyeliner:
Dry
Wet
With Weather Everything
With Urban Decay Primer Potion
For all four methods you will need an eyeliner brush -
Dry - When applying dry, you just dip your brush in the pot, swirl it in the lid of the pot and apply it to your eyes. Using it dry will provide a subtle, smoky look. To me this method looks more like eyeshadow than eyeliner. It is difficult to impossible to get a sharp, well defined line using the minerals dry.
Wet - Use the same method as above, but wet the brush first. This provides more definition than dry. For me personally, I don't like the coverage or the staying power, but many do - so give it a try!
My absolute favorite is lining with Urban Decay Primer Potion. This is an eyeshadow primer that is wonderful. It not only keeps your eyelids "crepe-free" and your eyeshadow in place all day, it will keep your mineral eyeliner in place until you take it off. I put a small dab of the primer on the back of my hand and rub my brush in it. Then I dip my brush in the minerals and mix them together in the top of the pot. It results in a creamy mixture that is easy to put on and again stays put until you take it off. I confess that I don't do this everyday. I usually don't take the time in the mornings getting ready for work. I do it when I want to look my best!
