I used to wear Shiseido make up; until my friend suggested for me to use Bare Minerals. I liked it because it was so easy to apply and the brushes felt good against my face. However, I noticed that I broke out more than I used to. (I only broke out when I was on my rag or when I'm stressed. It would fade.) Then I stopped using it and went back to Shiseido. Then after awhile, I went back to Bare Minerals make up. I even recommended it to my sister. My face broke out even more. Even my sister is starting to break out more than she used to. Keep in mind, there are many factors that cause break outs. But my brother-in-law and I think that it was due to the Bare Minerals make up. I will not throw away my $60 purchase but I will stop using it for awhile.
I conducted a mini experiment with my dermatologist. We poured water into two beakers. The dermatologist put a little bit of the Colorescience mineral make up to one beaker which we'll call Beaker #1, and I put Bare Minerals make up to another beaker which we'll call Beaker #2. Then we both mixed the water. The results? In Beaker #1, the make up stayed on the surface of the water and the bottom portion of the water was clear whereas in Beaker #2 the make up was on the surface and it also penetrated deep into the water. What does that mean? That means the make up goes deep into the skin to clog pores. Which is the exact opposite of what Bare Minerals claims!
I don't wanna jump to conclusions. I mean maybe this is happening to my skin only. I NEVER EVER slept with my make up on. I always wash my face. Maybe it's just stress.
But I'm warning you... Beware... Try at your own risk... If I were you, DON'T USE BARE MINERALS!!!!!!!!!
