Bare minerals is overpriced and over-rated - I tried this foundation expecting the miracle results shown on tv. I was definitely disappointed. I'm glad I never ordered it like I was tempted to all those times.

The itching is caused by Bismuth - see Bismuth in Mineral Makeup & try a Bismuth free foundation.

Are you using Mineral Veil to "set" you minerals? It will keep your mineral foundation from rubbing off.

Not for me

I have used 'bare minerals' powder because it was expected to be good for sensitive skin. First, I have dry skin, so I have to moisturize a lot before I use it for good coverage. Even then, it looks fakey by the end of the day.

Second, it makes a huge mess swishing and tapping. A real waste of some expensive powder!

Third, when I sweat, it makes my skin sting and burn. Almost like it gets into the pores. Living in Florida, sweating is as common as breathing.

The coverage is excellent when first applied, but wears off during the day.
