Bare Minerals Review

by Beth

I just started using Bare Minerals 2 days ago and have never had so many complements on my skin and make-up in my whole life as I have in those 2 days. I love it. I really think the key is to watch the DVD and learn how to use it right.

B.E. mineral foundation
by: lisa jones

I just read a review for this and i have to agree with her. when i have no makeup on at all i cannot see my pores and wrinkles as much as i can when i am wearing it. I've been applying a lot of mineral veil thinking it would cover the pores but that makes it worse. my face does look great for church or something that only lasts a few hours but at the end of the day my pores are really visible. if you put on mineral veil before foundation it cuts back on the itching. i do notice crepeiness under my eyes after all day wear too.

Goes on silky
by: SuzieQ

When it goes on, it feels really silky and not heavy, like other make-up does!

I Had No Issues With My BE
by: Jen

I have very oily and acne proned skin and BE was the only thing that covered and cleared it up. The Prime Time is wonderful. You only use one pump as the bottle says and wait 5 min to apply foundation and you're good to go. It makes me look 5 yrs younger. The Rare Minerals skin care from BE is amazing too. The BE foundation never cakes up on me even with my very oily skin living in Fla doesn't help either. My make up lasts all day with hardly any touch ups at all. I'm sorry to hear others are having problems b/c this make up was a life saver for me. Sheer Cover didn't stay on and it broke me out. I guess everyone is different.

Bare Escentuals
by: Charlie

I am 43 with normal to oily skin (T zone), but the eye area can look dry and crepey depending upon the makeup I use. I slight pink undertones to my skin. Most Bare Escentuals foundations have a yellow tone to them. I could use the Fairly Light. The lightest foundation now has a more neutral tone to it, but is not completely neutral. I have to take the foundation down my neck and decollete so I'm all the same color or you can see where I stop the makeup at my jawline. It accentuates pores. I learned that I had to apply it on completely dry skin or it won't go on evenly and it will look shinier as well as make pores look worse. That means wait til I'm not sweating after my shower and no moisturizer or anything. The Primer and Vitamin serum didn't help and the eye area still creased and looked dried out as the day wore on. If I dust ever so lightly with Mineral Veil or Featherlight Mineral Veil first it helps keep it from making them look like craters. Featherlight gave the best result. This also helps avoid the shiney mask look. If I do all this I get a fairly nice and natural look, but not an exact match. BE settles into lines (gets worse as the day wears on) and you can still see pores so I follow it with Featherlight Mineral Veil and I almost look natural. I tried the regular Mineral Veil, but you MUST use it sparingly or it settles into lines and cakes up... especially with further applications through the day no matter how light. I can only use it once (very lightly) or it cakes and makes me look dry. The BE foundation will eventually look kinda dry on me and settle into creases when I smile and create smile lines as well as lines around my eyes & make my eye area look dry. So the best thing to follow my foundation with is the Featherlight Mineral Veil. It's lighter and doesn't settle into pores and lines and it helps reflect light to make the lines and pores less noticable. I do feel like I have makeup on my face though. BE foundation is heavier than other mineral makeup I've tried. Even if I don't start with Mineral Veil or Featherlight Mineral Veil or follow with a final dusting of Featherlight Mineral Veil. It's heavier like Sheer Cover, but Sheer Cover will melt into your face and not accent lines and pores and you no longer feel it. Not so with BE. It still felt tight and dry over time and never really looked like my skin. With all the steps I had to follow to get a more natural look for my aging skin I quit using BE. It's easier, more comfortable and gives a more natural appearance to use Sheer Cover, Jane Iredale, Philosophy, Youngblood, GloMinerals, Aromaleigh or Larenim mineral makeups. I can't live without BE's Featherlight Mineral Veil though. That's the best product and most user friendly product they make. I can't say enough about it.

bare minerals make-up
by: Heather

I really like bare minerals make-up. It covers my face perfectly, with ease. It doesn't cause any break outs. It is easy to apply.

In agreement
by: Stacu

I just started using it 2 weeks ago, and the compliments continue. I am shocked at how many people notice a difference. They don't know I changed my makeup, but they think I'm exceptionally happy, well-rested, or relaxed.
