I watched numerous infomercials and finally decided to try Sheer Cover after having been a Bare Escentuals customer for several years..
Well, I was totally disappointed with this product... The power was not finely milled, actually scratched my skin while applying it with less than quality brush ..(another disappointment) plus the formula really had a less than pleasing odor to it.. not sure why that was but decided to box it back up (within the return window of time) and got a refund.

Pick & Choose Then Weigh The Benefits

Sheer Cover is my first experience with "mineral make up" and I bought it after watching a commercial. It came with a small bottel of Toner and Moisturizer which I felt was a waste of money. Witch Hazel works just as well and is far cheaper. With the exception of the Kabuki brush, the brushes that came with them were of so-so quality, just a step above CVS brand. When I used the larger brushes, the bristles would keep coming off on my face...not desirable. I didn"t use the mascara and the lip gloss or whatever is lousy.
The question is what exacty did I buy the product for? I bought it for the"cover-up". After trial and error I was able to apply the concealer well and it matched my skin tone, which for a Black person, can be quite difficult. Likewise the powder matched as well and when I use it with my other non Sheer Cover blushes, lipstip, mascara, etc. the results are astonishing and I always get compliments. By the way, I always "seal" my face after I apply my make-up by applying a cold dampy face cloth lightly to my face or giving it a cold spritz.

If the main product works for you then it makes all the little annoyances, like having to order at least 4 products at a time, or having the computer not save your order worth it. For me the jury is still out. The products are expensive but you can have them delivered as infrequent as every 12 weeks. I suggest that if the benefits don't outweigh the problems/risks, drop the product. However, if you get compliments on your face then perhaps it's indeed worth it.

maybe you weren't applying it correctly i use it an so do all of my friends and it works perfect for all of us

Unhappy with products

I found the sheer cover foundation laid on the top of my skin and was more obvious that I was wearing powder. I did not care for the other products either (mascara was clumpy), under eye cover make up caked up. Very disappointed.
