I have been using Bare Escentuals for the past two years and while I loved the idea of mineral makeup, I still felt like I could feel the makeup on my face. My biggest problem with BE was the fact that it left my face all shiny and I prefer a more matte look. With an oily t-zone it just got worse as the day went on. So, when I heard MK had a new mineral makeup I decided to try it. What a difference! The powder is a lot lighter and more fine than BE. You have to put on thin layers and it does take a few more times to build it up but once it's on...it's on ALL DAY. Even at the end of the day my makeup rarely needs a touch up. With BE I was touching it up several times a day. Even when I feel like my t-zone is getting oily I check the mirror and it still looks matte. I will say that I do keep some BE mineral veil in my purse and I do use that to "finish" in the morning but otherwise I have to give the MK two thumbs up.
