Question About Mineral Makeup Coverage
by Lisa
Lisa asked this about mineral makeup -
Hi. I am encouraged by your mineral makeup review. However, did you find that the mineral makeup covered flaws (like the acne when you started)? I have heard that it is not great regarding coverage. I have adult acne and need something that covers.
My Answer -
Mineral makeup is "buildable" - meaning you control how much coverage you get, and you can get a great deal of coverage.
For darker discolorations, you can cover it before your foundation (using your fingertip or a
Concealer Brush) with foundation or bisque.
You can also get a heavier coverage by applying the foundation wet by LIGHTLY misting your brush with water after you have "swirled and tapped".
Several other solutions -
Illuminaire has a liquid mineral foundation that has full coverage -
Illuminare Extra Coverage Liquid Mineral Makeup
Sheer Cover comes with a concealer that gets rave reviews from everyone who has tried it.
Or you could try the best concealer on the planet -
Philosophy Supernatural Concealer

After years of using bisque and even Rare Minerals to conceal, I decided to try philosophy's concealer. It does a phenomonal job of covering up the discolorations and imperfections without adding any texture, so your mineral makeup goes over it flawlessly.
One concealer lasted me 10+ months with daily use - I use the lightest under my eyes and mix the other two colors together for the areas on my face every day.

I found that my adult acne essentially subsided when I started wearing mineral makeup - so this may not even be an ongoing issue once you start using it.
Good Luck!
