Don't give up
by: Anonymous

Don't give up on mineral makeup! I felt the same way about BE and several other brands. I am a licensed aesthetician and I LOVE glo minerals. It is the best mineral makeup out there and I have tried almost all mineral brands!

suggestions for minerals
by: Ame

Zoe, I didn't get it either the first time I tried minerals. Try samples first.
Also try to use your favorite moisturizer with the minerals and you will have your own liquid mineral makeup with out all the additives that are unhealthy. I use Sensaria moisturizers because they are loaded with good oils that absorb easily into skin.
I am just an experimenter like you. But I like minerals. Ame

BE and Pores
by: Nancy

Zoe,

I am 58 have large pores around my nose uneven coloring and combination oil and very dry areas. I have been using BE for a year now and love it. The first time I got it from QVC I sent it back also until a friend gave me some pointers.

I always start with the skin rev-er upper, it is a liquid, I use a small amount all over my face and it gets me ready for the mineral powder. I then use the color summer bisque as my concealer for my pores and around my nose area and chin because I am red there. Then I use medium beige all over my face, the medium that cam with the kit make me look a little flat. I use warmth as my blusher and then mineral veil and I am ready to go.
Also be sure you tap tap tap the brush, you don't want to pile it on and you can always add more.
I hope this helps.
Have a happy and safe New Year

Comments About Mineral Makeup Application
by: Suzanne

Hi Zoe -
I think it takes at least a week, if not two, to get used to applying mineral makeup. It sounds to me like you may have been using too much powder and/or not buffing it in completely.

When you are applying mineral makeup, you need to buff it enough so that it warms up and literally melts into your skin. If you can tell it is still a powder you have either used too much or not buffed it enough.

I would also recommend that you use a moisturizer on your dry areas before applying your minerals.

There are also several different makeup primers on the market. I personally do not use them, but I know that many mineral users do use the primer and this would help to diminish the appearance of fine lines and pores.

I'm sure other users will be along to offer more tips!

Good Luck!
Suzanne
